The new VR sound and dance game "heat dance partner" burst Cj

Last week at the 2017 ChinaJoy, I had the chance to check out some impressive domestically produced games. Many of them focused on themes like warfare, combat, and gunfights. In the VIVE experience area, I got to try out a unique rhythm and dance game that felt like something straight out of the future, similar to Hatsune Miku's performances. As soon as I put on the HTC Tracker, I was able to move around naturally and feel the music flow through me. Watching other players on stage, their gestures were fluid and engaging, leaving the audience buzzing with excitement. ![Game Screenshot](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/59/81/46/9d2baa1~ivr_baidu_autow600~.png) This particular game is a rhythm and dance title developed by Beijing Weiwo World Entertainment Technology Co., Ltd. for offline use. I couldn’t wait to get involved myself. After strapping on the tracker, I entered the virtual stage interface where I entered an ID and scanned it to step onto the virtual stage. On the screen, four avatar cards appeared, offering me the choice to pick from different virtual characters by swiping gestures. There are three female avatars and one male partner to choose from. The girls include a cute loli, a pure goddess, and a nightclub queen, while the male character looks like a long-legged version of Song Zhongji or even Obama. These options cater to various player preferences, ensuring everyone finds an avatar that matches their aesthetic. The virtual dancers look stunning, with high-quality models and detailed clothing and accessories. Each player gets three songs to play, all popular dance tracks. The songs come in two modes: athletics and Hyun dance, each available in easy and hard settings. I picked a sweet Lolita avatar and tried both modes with the same song. The Hyun Dance mode was relatively straightforward, with the goal being to mimic the virtual partner’s moves and earn points. The competitive mode, however, was intense. My score appeared after each attempt, and my initial ID showed up on the leaderboard. ![Game Screenshot](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/59/81/46/a463d6f~ivr_baidu_autow600~.png) What stood out to me was how the scoring system wasn't just about following a single path. The left hand corresponded to blue strike points, while the right hand matched red strike points. Tapping these points with precision earned higher scores, and the depth of your strikes mattered too. This made the entire experience feel more immersive, almost like I was part of the music. As I danced, I found myself stomping my feet along with the beats, creating quite a spectacle for onlookers. The game is truly innovative compared to traditional rhythm games that rely solely on tapping beats. Here, you’re jumping and moving in sync with the music, making the experience dynamic and engaging. The developers have done a great job crafting lifelike movements. According to Zhang Junqing, the marketing director of Weiwo World, the dance routines are based on choreography performed by professional dancers using motion capture technology. This ensures smooth and natural movements, while facial expressions are also captured to add authenticity. ![Game Screenshot](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/59/81/46/a6212c9~ivr_baidu_autow600~.png) After my session, my final score appeared behind the stage, and my ID showed up on the leaderboard. I noticed a few details during gameplay. First, the dance partner was incredibly expressive. Second, their movements weren’t stiff or repetitive like typical video game animations. Instead, they flowed naturally, thanks to the motion capture technology. Weiwo World plans to expand the game’s content by adding more dance partners and expanding its music library. For now, the game is primarily aimed at offline experiences, with potential partnerships with chain KTVs, cinemas, and entertainment venues. A compact, cool-looking “Warm Dance Partner” machine is expected to launch this September, designed to fit smaller spaces while filling the gap left by VR equipment. They're also working on a PS VR version, promising even more engaging gameplay in the future. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what Weiwo World comes up with next. Their attention to detail and commitment to innovation make this game stand out, and I can’t wait to dive back in! ![Game Screenshot](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/59/81/46/a90ae5c~ivr_baidu_autow600~.png)
