To support Ma Dad's business, I bought a lot during the Double 11 sale. While picking up my package, I found an extra one in my Taobao card. The experience feels similar to the Xiaomi Xiao Ai speaker. They are almost the same in function, and if you're interested, you can check my previous review of the Xiao Ai.
The main difference is that the Xiao Ai can control Xiaomi smart home devices, while the Tmall Elf is focused on shopping. To control home appliances, you’ll need additional accessories.
Sound quality isn’t as good as the Xiao Ai, but it’s more affordable. I’ve switched from the Xiao Ai to the Tmall Elf, and gave it to my parents. They really love these kinds of smart gadgets. With the New Year approaching, if you’re looking for a gift for adults or kids, this smart speaker could be a great choice!
