I. Direct measurement When measuring with a measuring instrument, the measurement result can be directly obtained without any calculation on the meter reading, which is called direct measurement. For example, measuring the fluid pressure with a spring-tube pressure gauge is a direct measurement. The advantage of direct measurement is that the measurement process is simple and rapid, and the disadvantage is that the measurement accuracy is not easy to achieve high. This measurement method is a widely used method in engineering.
2. Indirect measurement When measuring with the instrument, first measure several quantities that have a certain functional relationship with the measured physical quantity, substitute the measured value into the functional relationship, and calculate the desired result of the measurement. This measurement is called Indirect measurement.
Third, simultaneous measurement When measuring with the application instrument, if the measured physical quantity must be solved by solving the simultaneous equations to get the final result, then such measurement is called simultaneous measurement. When performing simultaneous measurements, it is generally necessary to change the test conditions in order to obtain the data needed for a set of simultaneous equations.
For the simultaneous measurement, the operation procedure is complicated and takes a long time, which is a special measurement method. It is only suitable for scientific experiments or special occasions.
