At last year's CES show, New Balance announced an agreement with Intel to develop an Android Wear smart sports watch. After a year, the watch was officially released. The smart watch called RunIQ is equipped with Android Wear2.0 operating system, built-in 4GB music storage space, supports GPS positioning and heart rate monitoring, and waterproof level is 5ATM.
The New Balance RunIQ features a round dial with a screen size of 1.39 inches and looks similar to the Samsung Gear S2, but thanks to its functional positioning for running, the strap is detachable and breathable.
In terms of functions, RunIQ supports GPS positioning and heart rate monitoring. The motion monitoring data is supported by Strava APP. New Balance also cooperates with Strava to launch the online and offline running club Run Club, similar to Nike+. In addition, thanks to the Android Wear 2.0 system, RunIQ can directly access Google Music and listen to songs via Bluetooth headsets. For now, it may become the most powerful contender for the Polar M600.
In terms of battery life, according to the official introduction, RunIQ can run for 24 hours in standby mode, and GPS and HR can be turned on for 5 hours at the same time.
In addition, New Balance has partnered with Jabra to launch the wireless sports headset PaceIQ. After pairing with RunIQ, PaceIQ can provide real-time voice guidance to users. This headset supports IP54 dust and water resistance and has a battery life of 5 hours.
