It is reported that Wuhan has built more than 1,300 buildings and more than 30 bridge landscape lights, creating a "two rivers and four banks" landscape lighting core display area, forming the Hankou District Construction Avenue, Jiefang Avenue, Youth Road, Wusheng Road and Wuchang District Xudong There are two main landscape lighting belts, namely, Main Street, Zhongbei Road, Zhongnan Road, Wulu Road and Yuyu Road, and the urban night landscape with the characteristics of riverside lakes is emerging. According to reports, the current Wuhan landscape lights have been developed from the initial high-power floodlights, neon lights, to the current LED lights, cold cathode tube lights, lighting engineering energy-saving in the forefront of the country. More than 1,000 high-rise buildings in the city are illuminated, more than 90% of which use LED new environmentally-friendly and energy-saving optical materials. The power consumption is only 1/10 of that of ordinary lamps, and it avoids "light pollution" and meets the requirements of "two-type society" construction. All the large landscape lighting facilities in the city are equipped with lighting monitoring terminal equipment. The monitoring personnel can send the instructions of lighting and turning off the lights to each light source in a timely manner with the click of a mouse.
In order to highlight the historical heritage, Wuhan has established landscape lighting construction around the three main cultural lines of history and culture, water bridge culture and the integration of Chinese and Western culture. As night falls, a bell-shaped image with musical symbols rises above the top of the Wuhan Conservatory of Music by lights. The flowing notes not only illuminate the night sky, but also reflect the rich history and culture of Wuyin; the magnificent Yellow Crane Tower represents the Chu culture. The beautiful Yangtze River Bridge Qiaotou Fort and the “Mianliangliang†highlight the “Jiangcheng†bridge culture; the European architecture along the Hankou River in Hankou shows the organic integration of Chinese and Western cultures and ancient and modern cultures.
