SVCD

SVCD (Super VCD), also known as Super VCD, uses a CD recording format and a CD-ROM/XA data structure to record moving pictures and their accompanying sounds in accordance with MPEG2 Variable Code String Encoding (VBR). The horizontal resolution of the image is 350 lines or more. The quality matches the current analog TV display level (350-400 lines). The Super VCD video disc can also choose to include still images with accompanying sounds, as well as playlists for controlling still and live image preset programs and applications for implementing e-book functions.
