21ic News Littelfuse has announced the SPxx-01WTG-C-HV series (SPxx series) universal ESD protection transient suppression diode array (SPA diode). The SPxx series is further enhanced with previous improvements to prevent sensitive electronic devices from being damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other transient overvoltages. These new "high voltage" 0201 form factors are ideal for securing data lines in large touch screen modules for large form factor tablets and notebooks. They use higher voltages on each row and column, allowing the touchscreen to distinguish between conscious and unconscious touches. The SPxx Series safely absorbs repetitive ESD strikes that exceed the maximum specified by the IEC61000-4-2 international standard without performance degradation and safely dissipates 8A of induced surge current at lower clamp voltages. In addition, compared to other industrial solutions, its peak pulse power is 25% higher, leakage current is 50% lower, and capacitance is 40% lower. Unlike other solutions, the SPxx series is AEC-Q101 certified to provide automotive-grade quality assurance to circuit designers.

Typical applications for the SPxx family of TVS diode arrays include touch screens, portable meters, LED lighting modules, and ESD protection for low-speed I/O.

“The SPxx family offers designers a choice when choosing the right voltage for the interface they need to protect,” said Tim Micun, Product Manager, Transient Suppression Diode Array (SPA® Diode). "With an off-state voltage of up to 36V, it simplifies the protection of the increasingly popular large touch screens on the latest PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones."

The SPxx family of TVS diode arrays has the following outstanding advantages:

• They provide high ESD immunity and superior protection, providing design engineers with more design margins and increasing the reliability of the final product in real-world applications.

• Provides bidirectional configuration with 12V, 15V, 24V or 36V off-state voltage, providing protection for 95% of the interface.

• 0.4 ohm low dynamic resistance provides low clamping voltage to protect modern/small chipsets against industry-defined ESD transients.

Availability

The SPxx family of TVS Diode Arrays is available in a flip-chip package and is available in tape and reel packaging with a minimum order quantity of 10,000 units. Samples are available from authorized Littelfuse distributors around the world.

We adopt the advanced technology imported from Europe, patented technology, specialized software to optimize the design for33kV cast resin Dry Type Transformer. The core is made of cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheet which cut in step-lap by GEORG Germany TBA core cutting lines and laminated by the method of fifth-order step-by-step stacking technology, enabling the no-load performance of the core to improve greatly. The epoxy resin from American HUNTSMAN is adopted for the windings which casted in the vacuum resin casting machine imported from HEDRICH, Germany. The winding material ensures good permeability, no bubbles occur, which leads to minimum partial discharge. The HV and LV winding mate with each other tightly, which ensures solid strength of structure and capability to withstand short circuit and vibration. Under normal service condition, the service life of dry type transformer is 30 years. No crack will form on the surface of transformer winding due to temperature variation as long as the transformer runs under normal service condition.
