Samsung confirms sale of S8 and Note 8 for Q1 and Q3 next year

Previously there were reports that users of Samsung Note 7 could choose to replace the Galaxy S8 for free in March next year. Samsung had provided Galaxy Note 7 users with an option to redeem S7 for free, but fans expressed disappointment because they like the Note series because they can use stylus for artistic design or business operations. Feedback from fans also led Samsung to continue to overweight and add the next generation of Note 8 phones to the compensation plan.

Recently, a Korean technology blog site quoted a Samsung official statement saying that Samsung Electronics will provide a special upgrade plan for Korean Galaxy Note 7 users who choose to replace their Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge mobile phones.

Samsung said in a statement that users of Korean Note 7 who choose to replace their S7 or S7 Edge smartphones can redeem a Galaxy S8 phone or a Note 8 tablet next year.

Before repurchasing S8 or Note 8, Note 7 users only pay half the price of the S7 or S7 Edge. The S8 smartphone is scheduled to be launched in February or March of 2017, and the Note 8 tablet is expected to be launched in August or September next year.

South Korea’s compensation plan will continue until November this year. Samsung is expected to launch similar compensation plans in other countries in the near future.
