ON Semiconductor is actively involved in the development and updating of various specifications and incentive programs (such as ENERGY and 80 PLUS) in various energy standards and standards, and introduces solutions and products that comply with all relevant regulations around the world. ON Semiconductor offers a broad lineup of power management solutions to help customers meet the challenges of power management critical areas such as low standby power consumption, high energy efficiency, and power factor correction. Its GreenPoint reference design specifies the direction in which the energy-efficient power supply is designed. The schematics, bill of materials (BOM), PCB Gerber files, design priorities, and test reports included in the reference design help engineers shorten design cycles and speed time-to-market.

ON Semiconductor's solutions for white goods power management function modules include AC-DC conversion, DC-DC conversion, power factor correction (PFC) and power supply inverter. ON Semiconductor's high-performance AC-DC off-line regulators integrate high-voltage power MOSFETs to simplify the design of low-power switching power supplies. The NCP107x (0/1/2/5/6/7) series is available in PDIP-7 or SOT-223 packages and integrates a 700 V high-voltage MOSFET with current mode 65/100/130kHz fixed frequency for 3W to 15W. Power application. This series supports frequency anti-going and skip-cycle modes, which can effectively improve the light load energy efficiency of the power supply. In addition, the series also features a built-in high voltage start-up function that supports Dynamic Self-Powered (DSS) and provides a lossless start-up sequence.

The NCP112x (2/4/9) series is available in a PDIP-7 package with a built-in 650 V rated avalanche energy MOSFET and operates in peak current mode 65/100kHz switching frequency. The NCP112x supports frequency jitter under normal and frequency reversal conditions to improve electromagnetic interference (EMI) performance. It has a built-in 4 ms soft start, adjustable current limit and effective reduction of no-load standby energy.

Figure 3 shows a 25 W high-voltage mains supply based on ON Semiconductor's NCP1129, which provides a 12 V constant voltage output with peak current mode control and adjustable slope compensation to ensure stability in continuous conduction mode (CCM); Optimize short-circuit protection and actual overload detection; the frequency reverses to 26kHz under light load conditions.
