There are three types of driving methods that are currently used in the market. Simply make an analogy:
First, switching power supply
The finished switching power supply has high-end: Ming Wei (Taiwan), Mao Shuo (Shenzhen), too many low-end brands; but in general, switching power supply prices are more expensive. This part of the high-end brand positioning is "Maoye department store" consumption.
Second, linear power supply
There are many linear power supplies, and it is also a trend in the future market. The solution has linear ic drive, including segmented, constant current diodes.
1. Linear ic (imported and domestic).
The imported brand is mainly the American mikpower linear power supply, and the single IC current is large, and it is currently at the leading level of linear technology. Compared with domestic linear ic or constant current diodes, the quality is excellent and the stability is good. Compared with the switching power supply, the price is reasonable, and the positioning is "Wal-Mart".
Domestic brand promotion may be a lot of MW and other miscellaneous brands, MW brand is big, everything is done, but the linear drive professional aspect needs to be studied. Moreover, the products have just entered the market and the technology is not mature. At present, most of the listed companies still favor imported brands.
2. Constant current diode
Mainly Huajing and other brands can also play a certain role of constant current. The disadvantage is that there are problems such as high voltage bursting in power grid fluctuations, poor pressure and impact resistance, low life, high heat generation, and low constant current accuracy. .
Segmented
The advantage is high efficiency, but in the linear scheme, the cost is the highest, and there is a drawback. When the grid voltage changes, the current of each segment will be different, which will cause the brightness of different segments to be different. The probability is not the same, simply speaking, the brightness is different. One more point is that there are many pins, and the line spacing of the SOP package is small, which will bring trouble to the design and is more limited in use.
Third, the resistance capacity program
The author said here that in addition to being cheap, there is no advantage. In some environments where small motors are used, it is easy to die, that is, when the power grid fluctuates, it has a great influence on the LEDs, and it does not have a constant current. That is, when there is no standard in the LED market, it is only a trick to fish in the low-end market. , only the road is getting narrower and narrower, so I don’t have to introduce it.
