Renesas Technology Corp. today announced two karaoke-quality single-chip echo ICs for karaoke machines, DVD players and similar audiovisual equipment: 44Kb twice as much as Renesas Technology's previous products The R2A15906SP with echo RAM*1 capacity and the R2A15907SP with score function.The main features of these two new products are as follows.
(1) The industry's largest capacity 44Kb on-chip echo RAM capacity single-chip products In order to meet the market demand for higher sound quality, the storage echo sound signal RAM capacity has increased to 44Kb, which is twice the previous Renesas technology products. It is also the largest echo RAM capacity of the industry's single-chip karaoke echo IC, which can accurately and naturally set the echo.
(2) R2A15907SP on-chip scoring function R2A15907SP is the industry's first single-chip echo IC with scoring function. Its scoring function uses the proprietary algorithm of Renesas Technology's original M65851FP single-chip karaoke processor. The scoring function in the R2A15906SP echo IC helps to reduce system size and cost.
The R2A15906SP and R2A15907SP are pin-compatible for use in a common system board.
(3) On-chip peripheral functions include microphone volume control, amplifiers, and integrated interconnect bus (I2C) interface, etc. Almost all echo IC peripheral functions are provided on-chip, including ALC for adjusting the microphone input signal level. *2 Amplifier, tone adjustment function and echo level adjustment function, so that the echo system can be configured with a single chip. The integrated integrated interconnect bus interface*3 has been integrated to help install a variety of applications and simplify external control.
