Through internal development and strategic acquisitions, Mulin Linsen has made notable progress and is now ready to unveil its latest strategies for future growth.
Today, Mulin Linsen stands as the largest LED packaging company in China, ranking among the top globally. Following recent mergers, the company is poised to become one of the world’s top three lighting firms, with a workforce exceeding 26,000 employees.
In the first half of this year, Mulin Linsen successfully partnered with Round Vans, becoming the only company with a presence across the mid-to-lower segments of the supply chain. This integration strengthens its position in the mid-stream packaging sector and allows for greater marketing scale by leveraging global sales channels. Additionally, it aims to build a powerful global brand family based on Landvance, while exploring new markets through innovative product lines.
Currently, Mulin Linsen's fast-growing triad consists of three core areas: components and semiconductor materials, world-class foundry services, and global brand business.
In terms of components and semiconductor materials, Mulin Linsen has established a comprehensive industrial chain. In the upstream segment, it focuses on crystal development, holding proprietary high-end patents that cater to international clients. The company also invested in Aoyang Shunchang. In the midstream, Mulin Linsen ranked sixth globally in 2016 and is among the fastest-growing companies in the top ten. This year, it has the potential to move up to the top five or even fourth place.
Regarding foundry services, Mulin Linsen recently entered into a joint venture in the U.S., offering OEM services and creating a unique integrated flagship model within the industry. With the upcoming phase-out of tungsten halogen lamps in Europe and the U.S., filament lamps are set for growth. Mulin Linsen is focusing on this area, acquiring strong customer resources to support its expansion. Lin Jiliang revealed that the company plans to grow significantly next year.
On the brand front, Mulin Linsen, founded in 1997, started as a packaged device company. After two decades of development, it expanded into the lighting products manufacturing sector, with a long-term vision of building a global brand. Today, the company aims to create an integrated lighting company capable of delivering complete lighting systems.
As 2017 comes to a close, Mulin Linsen is expected to grow by more than 40% this year, with projections of at least 30% growth in 2018. Moreover, the company sees significant expansion opportunities in the mid-to-lower segments next year. Lin Jiliang concluded by highlighting that Mulin Linsen’s rapid performance growth is driven primarily by its focus on lighting and display technologies. As wafer production capacity continues to increase, small-pitch LED technology is advancing, allowing for greater chip utilization and market expansion.
